The Comedy Bar tickets & upcoming events

Looking for a comedy spot with some serious local flavor? The Comedy Bar in Detroit is where you wanna be. This place has been around since at least 2015 when it hosted the city’s first Detroit Comedy Hall of Fame ceremony, yeah, they really aim to honor the legends here. Over the years, it’s become more than just a comedy club; in 2020, they teamed up with local arts groups to push comedy as an art form, turning the space into a hub for creativity and laughs. They even upgraded their stage in 2026, adding LED backdrops that make the whole night look pretty slick, perfect for catching those punchlines and visuals. The vibe is pretty chill but still lively, and if you snag a VIP ticket, you get early access to reserve your spot or grab a cozy booth. Sometimes, the balcony seats are right next to the drink service zone, so you’re not missing out on the laughs or your favorite cocktail. Getting there’s a breeze, start at the downtown complex, head south along the waterfront path, then veer left onto 2nd Street, and bam, you’re at the comedy hotspot. Whether you’re craving a big name like Neema Naz in the front row, want the exclusivity of Shayne Smith’s VIP sections, or just looking for a budget-friendly night with Joey Bragg, The Comedy Bar has got options. Keep an eye on their ticket page because new shows pop up all the time, and honestly, you don’t wanna miss out on the next big laugh fest.
